Groenland Wines | A Place to Relax and Unwind

Stellenbosch is blessed with some of the most spectacular wine farms in the country. Offering spectacular views, delicious meals, superb wines, fun activities and a fantastic atmosphere. Groenland Wines is part of the Bottelary Road in the Stellenbosch district, amongst several acclaimed wine farms producing some amazing red wines. Groenland meaning ‘green land’
is renowned for their spectacular red and white wines.

The Steenkamp family have owned and managed the Groenland Wines for 4 generations. The late owner and winemaker, since 1975, was Kosie Steenkamp. Kosie’s son, Piet joined the Groenland team in 2001 as assistant winemaker and viticulturist. He has since taken over the reins on Groenland after the passing of his father, Kosie Steenkamp, in June 2020.

The farm consists of 190 hectares, of which 150 hectares are under vine. Groenland produces approximately 80% red and 20% white cultivars. The vineyards deliver more than 1500 tons of grapes every year.

The Groenland wine range consists of four ranges namely Landskap, Classic, Premium and Steenkamp.
