Aslina Wines | Crafting Excellence with Heritage and Passion

Aslina Wines is a premium wine producer established in 2016 by Ntsiki Biyela, one of South Africa’s most celebrated winemakers. Recognised worldwide for her expertise and innovation, Ntsiki founded Aslina Wines to honour her late grandmother, Aslina, whose influence shaped her journey.

Raised in Mahlabathini, a rural village in KwaZulu-Natal, Ntsiki grew up under the guidance of her grandmother. Despite limited resources, Aslina provided a nurturing environment that instilled resilience, determination and ambition in Ntsiki. These qualities inspired Ntsiki to build a legacy that reflects her roots while championing world-class winemaking.

Aslina Wines offers a diverse selection of award-winning red and white wines. Their Sauvignon Blanc is known for its zesty and refreshing notes, while the Chardonnay showcases balance and elegance. The Chenin Blanc, a skin-contact wine, is celebrated for its unique character and complexity, while the bold Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a rich and sophisticated experience. At the heart of their collection is Umsasane, the flagship Bordeaux-style blend named after Aslina herself, representing timeless tradition and finesse. Completing the range is Ms. MC, a sparkling Cap Classique named in honour of Ntsiki’s mother, which adds a celebratory touch to their offerings.

Aslina Wines offers exclusive tastings like IBHINCA, featuring Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Inspired by the isiZulu term for someone true to their essence, these wines embody authenticity. Another option, KOKWANI, honours Umsasane, the family matriarch. Meaning “grandparent” in Xitsonga, it showcases a selection of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Umsasane.

Combining tradition and innovation, Aslina Wines brings stories of heritage and excellence to every bottle.
