Wine Tasting Lounge
Start your visit in the elegant and spacious Wine Tasting Lounge, where a range of tasting experiences showcase the best of Cape Point Vineyards. The Lifestyle Experience features the Cape Point Sauvignon Blanc, Cape Point Rosé and Cape Point Cabernet Merlot, while Discover Noordhoek explores 3 expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, their Cape Point Sauvignon Blanc, Cape Point Noordhoek Sauvignon Blanc and Cape Point Reserve Sauvignon Blanc.

Signature Pairing
For something truly memorable, their Signature Pairing combines the 3 exceptional Sauvignon Blancs from the Discover Noordhoek tasting, paired with freshly prepared oysters, highlighting the unique character of each wine.
The Cape Point Sauvignon Blanc paired with a house dressed oyster is bright and expressive, offering notes of apricot, ripe pear, lime and orange blossom, complemented by hints of fynbos and dried herbs. Crisp acidity and a vibrant fruit-driven finish make it a perfect introduction.
Paired with a scallion ginger oyster, the Cape Point Noordhoek Sauvignon Blanc captures the essence of its coastal origins. Notes of white grapefruit, floral fynbos, nori and oyster shell evoke the nearby ocean, while elegant fruit layers and a steely minerality create a fresh, lingering finish.
Completing the pairing is the Cape Point Isliedh served alongside a baked spinach oyster. This remarkable Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon blend reveals aromas of white orchid, peach blossom and rose, followed by layers of nectarine, pink grapefruit, figs and lemon curd. Richly textured with subtle oak spice, fresh thyme and a saline mineral finish, it is a wine that showcases both complexity and elegance.

Sushi Menu
Few things pair as naturally as sushi and Sauvignon Blanc, and Cape Point Vineyards is the perfect place to experience this match.
With vineyards just moments from the Atlantic coastline, Cape Point Vineyards benefits from a cool maritime climate that shapes the character of its wines. The result is world-class Sauvignon Blanc with vibrant acidity, refreshing citrus notes, distinctive minerality and a subtle sea-spray freshness that reflects its coastal origins.
These elegant wines are the perfect partner to their freshly prepared sushi selection. From delicate sashimi and perfectly crafted nigiri to flavourful signature rolls, each bite is elevated by the bright, crisp character of the wines. The freshness of the seafood beautifully complements the wine’s citrus-driven profile, while the saline minerality creates a pairing that feels effortlessly harmonious.
Add breathtaking mountain and ocean views to the experience, and it is easy to see why sushi and Sauvignon Blanc have become one of Cape Point Vineyards’ most celebrated combinations.

Dining Experience
Cape Point Vineyards offers a dining experience where coastal beauty and refined cuisine come together with ease.
In the restaurant, the setting feels as considered as the sweeping ocean views and it is no surprise how quickly the space fills with guests from all walks of life. The menu is built around exceptional local ingredients and evolves with the seasons, best enjoyed beside the crackling fireplace or out on the deck overlooking the Atlantic. For a winter lunch, the Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2024 was selected to accompany our experience, its freshness and structure pairing beautifully throughout each course.
For Starters, the Rainbow Carrot Tarte Tatin with whipped chive feta delivered a delicate balance of sweetness and savoury richness. Alongside it, the Hoisin Glazed Pork Shoulder brought depth and warmth, served with beetroot and apple purée, charred onion, and crackling for added texture.
The Mains, the Crisp Skinned Chicken Breast was served on a bed of smoked cauliflower purée with rainbow carrots, charred leek, and thyme jus, offering comfort with refined flavour layers. The Herb-Crusted Line Fish rested on warm creamy barley with charred leeks, spinach and leek velouté, and grilled lemon for brightness.
Dessert brought a comforting finish with Malva Pudding, paired with preserved fig and crème fraîche ice cream, the other choice around the table was the Red Wine Poached Pear with cinnamon and orange sorbet and citrus crumble for a lighter, spiced alternative.

Cape Point Vineyards stands as more than a restaurant or tasting room. It is a complete destination where wine, food and landscape come together in a way that feels especially rewarding during winter. The combination of coastal views, seasonal cuisine and amazing wines makes it one of those places that defines the colder months in the Cape.
Add Cape Point Vineyards for your next trip and discover the beauty of what winter brings.
