Quoin Rock’s French Songbook – culinary music to the ears

If music is the food of the love, then Quoin Rock’s operatic French Songbook promises to be culinary music to the ears. On Saturday, 9 October, the estate, in collaboration with Cape Town Opera, will play host to an elegant opera concert, which will pay homage to a century of French song. Stretching from 1840 to 1940, let your imagination take you back as you listen to the mesmerizing tunes from world famous composers. The programme includes mélodies by French masters such as Berlioz, Bizet, Duparc, Hahn, Ravel, Satie and Poulenc.

Head Chef Jack Coetzee, who promises to take your senses on a culinary adventure. Not only are his creations delicious, but visually they are best described as ‘art on a plate’.

The spectacular views from the restaurant are the pièce de résistance to a perfect day out.

Bookings for the opera open on Tuesday, 31 August and tickets cost R850 per person, which includes the concert, a welcome drink and the lunch. To reserve your ticket book directly via https://quoinrock.co.za/shop/French-Songbook-p388867082.
